Roshan and Ale have been one of the best couples Alex from Cherry Blossom Weddings has worked with yet. Not only are they the nicest people, but they are so in love and have a general love of life. The couple always seems to be smiling and with smiles like theirs, it’s quite contagious. The bride chose colors of fuchsia and bright orange which fit perfectly with their theme of ‘Love is Sweet’. Ale wanted a venue that was nothing less then amazing. They ended up at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium for their reception and the fun colors only made the venue look more amazing than it already is. To back up a bit, Roshan & Ale tied the knot at St. Stephen Martyr on Pennsylvania Ave which is a hidden gem of a church. All the ladies bouquets had some sweets tied in and the bright colors looked spectacular. For the main event, the bride walked down the aisle with her father as the Steele Drums played ‘Ave Maria’. Back at the reception, the guests enjoyed a mix of traditional Columbian and Trinidadian appetizers with a tasty American dinner. Once dancing started, it didn’t stop. Guests took short breaks to relax in the lounge or grab another cocktail at the glowing hot pink bar. Congratulations to one of life’s sweetest couples, Roshan and Ale!
Special thanks to Procopio Photography for these STUNNING photos!

Elizabeth from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events had an amazing time working with Sofia and Afzalul to plan their traditional Hindu wedding in which every detail was colorful and joyous! The wedding began with the baraat, in which Afzalul’s family escorted him down the DC streets to the ceremony at the Westin Grand Hotel. Once the groom arrived, a sitar and tabla played in the background as Sofia was escorted down the aisle by her parents. Following the ceremony, the couple changed into their reception attire and headed to the ballroom, where tons of red orchids scented the room and amber lights gave the room a great look. After a tasty meal from Rangoli Restaurant and a beautiful cake designed by Fancy Cakes by Leslie, the party really began! The guests packed the dance floor the whole night. Congratulations to a very sweet couple, Sofia and Afzalul! Thanks to Eli from Freed Photography for these great photos.

The stars were aligned for this June 5 wedding, as the rain held out and everything came together beautifully for the celebration of Liz and Chris’ wedding. Before the ceremony at St. Albans, the couple met up to take some time for pictures with friends and family in the lovely Bishop’s Garden between St. Albans and the National Cathedral. After a quick cool down from the 90+ degree weather, the couple met at the altar to exchange vows in the historic church. After the ceremony, guests rode off to the prestigious Cosmos Club, where they enjoyed a tasty meal and danced the night away. It was a pleasure for Chantal from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events to get to help Liz and Chris plan their wedding and best wishes with the next chapter of your lives! A big thanks to Tony from Imijination Photography for these great photos!

Amy and Rene’s love was witnessed by 45 of their closest friends and family as they celebrated in the intimate Nest at the historic Willard hotel. Chantal from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events was thrilled to be a part of their special day as they exchanged their vows in front of their good friend (and great dancer) Evan before enjoying a delicious meal complete with German sauerbraten and spaetzel, a tribute to Rene’s German heritage. After dinner they danced and some even waltzed the night away! Greenworks did a beautiful job with the flowers and a special thanks to Eli Turner from Freed Photography for these amazing photos!

Chantal from Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events had the pleasure of working with Kristin and Brent on their April 17th wedding where cherry blossoms were in bloom across town at the Walker Chapel United Methodist Church and the Washington Golf Country Club. The bride was radiant and the groom was overwhelmed with joy as they said their “I Do’s” and then headed over to the country club for some wonderful food, gorgeous views of the city and a lively dance floor. The groom’s idea of tall cherry blossom branches added to the decor perfectly and the color coordinated candy bar was a success! Thanks to Maria Vicencio for the beautiful photos and a big congrats to Kristin and Brent!

Erica and Chris had a wonderful sunset wedding at Oxon Hill Manor. It was a bit chilly but the bride and groom exchanged vows in the garden as the sun set over the Potomac. The bride looked nothing less than stunning in her Romona Keveza gown and cathedral length veil. Guests enjoyed an amazing dinner from Design Cuisine and instead of cake, the bride and groom chose to serve individual cakes with choice of toppings to each guest. The guests boogied down with the band and stopped for a quick break to enjoy a Chicago Style hot dog! The night went smoothly with the help of their wedding planner, Alex Pare from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events.
Congrats to Erica and Chris!
Thanks to Rodney Bailey for the great images!
